Education,
Literacy &
School Improvement

This body of work focuses on how learning begins and how schools grow. It brings together foundational literacy, teaching excellence, leadership development, and whole-school improvement, strengthening learning outcomes for children while building sustainable capacity within schools and education systems.

WHY THIS WORK MATTERS

Strong education systems are built on strong foundations. When early learning gaps persist, they affect confidence, attainment, and long-term outcomes. This work responds to those realities by focusing on what truly matters first, sound foundations, supported teachers, and coherent school-wide practices.

CORE FOCUS AREAS

  • Phonological and Phonemic Awareness
Listening skills, sound awareness, rhyming, blending, segmenting, and phoneme manipulation as the foundation for literacy
  • Phonics and Structured Literacy Development
Systematic sound–symbol relationships supporting early reading, spelling, and writing
  • Early literacy and foundational learning
  • Teacher professional development and instructional practice
  • School leadership and instructional leadership

Whole-school improvement and systems strengthening

FOUNDATIONAL LITERACY FRAMEWORKS

This work is informed by structured, culturally grounded frameworks for foundational literacy, including the Chelis African Phonological Awareness Curriculum (CAPAC) and its complementary applications (CUPAC).

These frameworks are designed to support educators in building strong phonological foundations before formal reading instruction, particularly within diverse learning contexts.

APPROACH & PHILOSOPHY

The approach is coaching-informed and systems-oriented, recognising that lasting improvement happens when educators are supported, leaders are developed, and learning practices are aligned across classrooms and schools.

Rather than quick fixes, the focus is on building confidence, competence, and coherence over time.
